Music has always been about connection.
Some of Steve’s earliest musical memories come from Adelaide, where he would bring his guitar onto the front porch and sing. Children from around the street would gather nearby to listen.
That simple experience—sharing a song and seeing people connect with it—became a thread through Steve’s work as a singer, songwriter, performer, producer and teacher.
His songs aim to be inspirational, energetic and thought-provoking, while his teaching creates room for singers to develop technique, expression and self-belief.

Building Yum Yum World.
Another important chapter in Steve’s music journey was founding and developing Yum Yum World with his wife, Julie, and their creative family.
The project brought together original children’s songs, singing, storytelling, animated characters and Australian animals in a playful world designed to help children join in through music and movement.
For Steve, it became a long-term expression of both sides of his work: professional musician and singer, and the creative entrepreneur who could carry a musical idea from its early vision into a wider collaborative production.

Ten months on the road with “Regardless.”
Steve was part of a national mime-based theatre production that explored the experiences and potential of young people living on the street.
Over ten months on the road, the troupe performed for more than 100,000 people across Australia—an important chapter in Steve’s creative history.
